Drafted to the Atlanta Hawks as the 19th pick in the first round of the NBA Draft, John Collins is already seen as a player making a big impact on and off the court.

John played two years at Wake Forest University, where as a sophomore he garnered All-ACC First Team and ACC Most Improved Player honors as well as Second Team All-America recognition by the Basketball Times.

While an only child to his mother—Lyria—who  served in the U.S. Military, John grew up in various countries including Turkey, Guam, Portland, Utah, Virgin Islands, Washington State before settling in West Palm Beach where he attended Junior High and High School.

In his free time, John enjoys watching soccer, the Jalen & Jacoby Show on ESPN and re-runs of the Dave Chapelle Show while eating his favorite snacks—Oreos and Cheese Doodles!  As a rising star in today’s NBA, Collins hopes to join the ranks of his favorite NBA player, Kobe Bryant.
